Scanfill exhibits at BioFach 2024
Scanfill’s commitment to a more sustainable future takes another step forward at BioFach 2025 – the world’s leading trade fair for organic food and sustainability. During the event, held on February 11–14 in Nuremberg, Germany, we will present our two groundbreaking materials that reflect our pursuit of sustainably sourced packaging materials:Flow 1.7 and Prevented Ocean Plastic™ rPET.
Innovations Putting Sustainability in Focus
Flow 1.7, developed by Sulapac, is a bio-based and compostable material that provides an innovative solution for replacing traditional plastics. With its high performance and sustainable properties, it is particularly suited for packaging and products in the food industry where minimizing environmental impact is essential.
Prevented Ocean Plastic™ (POP) rPET is the latest addition to Scanfill’s portfolio of high-quality, recycled materials. This recycled plastic film offers the same transparency and performance as our virgin PET, thanks to meticulous sorting and careful handling of raw materials.
“POP rPET performs just as well and looks just as good as virgin PET,” says Oscar Hugoson, CEO of Scanfill.
“Moreover, it actively helps reduce plastic pollution in coastal areas and supports local communities where the raw material is collected.”
A Meeting Place for Tomorrow’s Solutions
In our booth at BioFach, visitors will get a deeper insight into how Flow 1.7 and POP rPET can be used to meet both sustainability and quality requirements. Scanfill’s team will be in the pavilion for alternative packaging solutions in Hall 9, Booth 9-577, to discuss ideas, showcase product samples, and explore collaborations that can drive future development.
